| Bond Information MX is available in four standard bonds. Each is listed below with a brief explanation of their capabilities. Need more information? Contact Us. CXG = Soft bond, general purpose, capable of blending and polishing metal and removing small burs, fins, tooling marks on hard and soft metals. CXH = Medium bond, semi-aggressive, suitable for blending and slight metal removal applications, fine polishing capabilities in the finer grits (80, 120, 180, 220, 320). CXI = Hard bond, aggressive general purpose, rapid metal removal and blending capabilities provided in coarse grits (36 & 54). Finer grits are suited for removing metal and polishing in one step (80 & 120 -- aggressive general purpose). CXN = Extra hard, very aggressive in coarse grits (24, 36, 54) with fast removal capabilities. Finer grits (80, 120) are best when chosen for hard metals when removal and polish in one step are desired.
